Templo!

Buenas Dias!!!!!
Sorry I didnt write yesterday, today we went to the temple!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So today is our Pday.
Well this week sure was full of adventures!!!

The Elders came and gave Enrique a blessing! The next couple days he was so better and didnt smoke or drink anything! He looked so great I couldnt believe it!!!! Our stake had this big Self Sufficiency activity and he went and loved it and joined a group of some sort haha but he was pretty excited. He also came to church on Sunday!

This week we took Wendy to the temple! We had a lesson with her in the waiting room about the Atonement and the spirit was so strong. She is so awesome. The only thing she needs to do to get baptized is marry Edgar! They will get married this week and baptized in a couple weeks!! Hooray! She lives really close to us so we go to her house everynight and it is awesome.

This is a shout out for mom!
She has only been asking me for about a year about the day of a missionary so here goes.
6:15 the alarm goes off and we pray
6:30 exercise! Sometimes we go run in the park, do yoga, other stuff in the house.
7:00 shower and make and eat breakfast
8:00 personal study (scriptures, Preach my gospel, etc. )
9:00 companionship study , share what we studied and plan our lessons.
10:00 language study, normally just out of the grammar book they gave us or read the church magazines in Spanish and look up the words I dont know.
11:00 LA CHAMBA. going to visit members, less active members, recent converts, investigators, and teaching them the gospel! (based on Preach My Gospel) contacting referrals people have given us, talking to people in the street, sometimes Family nights with the members.
2:00 pm, go to a members house for lunch. They pass around a calendar in relief society and the hermanas sign up to give us food!
3:00 LA CHAMBA
until
9:00 return home!
Then we plan for the next day, wrtie down which lessons we taught, eat a little bit. Get ready for bed.
10:30 to the hammock!
And that is it!
It changes a little bit with different meetings or activities that we have, but really every day is a surprise! Every day there are ups and downs, rarely does a day go as planned haha. It is a good work. This week I hit my 13 month mark. So fast it has gone by!

Well I love you all and I know the temple is where we need to be, it really is our goal, and I know as a family we can make it there very soon :)
You are in my hearts and in my prayers. I am lucky to have such a wonderful family. If I was born 10 times, I would choose our family every single time.
Have a great week!

Semana 2

Hello family!

Another week of ups and downs in the mission field.

The downs.. Rosy had a lot of problems with her husband and went to live far away! But we talked to her on the phone and sent the missionaries over there to go visit her.
Enrique had the worst week ever with the word of wisdom. His mom went on a trip to Mexico City and basically he is just home alone almost all day drinking and drugging. The few times we went to go visit him his eyes were bloodshot and he kept saying strange things. Oh no. He didn't come to church either so we are going to pray a lot for him and see if we can literally save his life.

The ups.. Wendy is progressing super well! She loves church and just loves it all and has such a desire to learn. This week we are going to go to the temple and have a little lesson in the waiting room.
The church made another awesome holiday video "Gracias a que El vive" (Because He lives). But its not public until 28 of march. So its a secret still. But we saw at our zone conference and it is way awesome.
We also found a bunch of new investigators this week! We just are going to pray lots that they can progress.
We were teaching a lady in the park and all the sudden a member comes up and it turns out that it was her best friend! Hooray! Instant support system.
We went to go help this less active member clean her house but when we got there she just started talking to us and talked and talked for about 2 hours, but then she told us how much it meant to her that we were there to listen to her and to get all of it off her chest felt so much better. Sometimes the best thing we can do is listen. Not just with our ears but with our hearts.
We taught one of our neighbors this week and he is this really cool hipster kid, and had a lot of questions about why we are here on earth and about who Jesus Christ really was. So it was cool to testify about what we know is true.

I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior! It isn't something we need to understand perfectly but it is something we can feel! I felt so much strength from Him being far away from home and giving me the strength to fulfill this mission day after day. I felt forgiveness and also peace from regrets. I feel hope for the future and assurance that our family can be eternal.

I love you all so much!
How is the book of mormon challenge coming along?

Hola Familia!

Hermanas Fleischer and Lee
Hola familia!

Well this week had its ups and downs like usual. Enrique came to church, hooray! But he has lots of problems with the word of wisdom. Just about all of it. Sometimes we go to teach him and he is so out of it and it just no use. It makes us really sad to watch him waste his life away with drugs and alcohol. But he has desires to change and has faith.

Wendy is buenisima. We taught her and Edgar (her boyfriend who was baptized last year) about eternal families and the law of chastity. And she said maybe she didnt agree with the commandment or didnt understand why, but she wanted to follow it because she has felt that this is the true pathway and she will do what she needs to do. Wow. Mucha fe.

Pues, we have a less active member in our ward who is really progressing! His name is Heyder, he is a return missionary of about 15 years and there were some problems with his family and he hasnt gone for a few years. But the Spirit is really touching his heart. He saw the movie Meet the Mormons this week and after he saw it he just cant stop smiling and it really motivated him. He has come to church for 2 weeks straight and he really wants to come back. Hooray!

We also had another less active family came to church who brought their WHOLE family! haha all of the children their children and boyfriends. It was great. And very suprising. And wonderful.
Fluffy dogs on the roof
Hermana Petersen is from Cottonwood heights and she got here just one cambio after me. She has also been in Caucel and Sascalum and we have had 2 of the same companions. That is kind of rare but it is fun that we have a lot in common. We get along super well and we are super happy!

Rule for life. We must laugh everyday! Men are that they might have joy!!!! (2 nephi 2:25) We must do something to lift someone else everyday. We must thank our Heavenly Father for our blessings and remember His son Jesus Christ in some way everyday. He loves us, and the love we have for Him can grow each day, if we help it grow like a little seed. Why must we do it? To have the blessings of the Atonement in our life, to be worthy of His presence, and achieve an eternal family.

Love you all!!!!!!!!!! Les amo con todo mis corazon.
Como les va en su lectura del libro de mormon???

Cambios!!!

Buenas tardes mi familia bonita!!

Well first things first, los cambios....
I am staying in this ward!
Hermana Lee left :( I love her so much! I am so glad we were together for a few months. She is really awesome.
My new companion is Hermana Petersen! She is always from Utah! haha. She is really nice. I dont know her very well but I have seen her a bunch throughout the mission.

This week was really special!
I just will share 2 experiences that happened yesterday.

Enrique.. we have an investigator who lives a couple houses down from us. He is interested but at first wasnt very sure because he told us it seemed really difficult to keep all the commandments and that he didnt really want to try. He didnt really think it was important to be close to God, but he came to church the last couple weeks and he came to a baptism in the stake center on saturday and he liked it a lot! He came to the stake center on sunday with us to do family history and then we taught him a little lesson about the plan of salvation and he understood a lot and told us that now he sees that being close to God isnt too hard, and he wants to change and when he goes to church he feels really good. Hooray!
We crossed path with him just a couple hours ago in the street and he told us that he was going to the movies to see the movie Meet the Mormons today! haha I know that the gospel can really help him.

The other really special experience yesterday is that we went to go visit an investigator named Wendy. She has gone to church 4 times and she liked it but wasnt all sure. We had talked a little bit about family history and when we saw her in the night time, she told us that earlier that day she visited her some family. Her brother passed away a little while ago, and his wife told Wendy that she had a dream about him, that he was in all white, in a place with white furniture and everyone was dressed in white, and that he was in a lower level. She told us that when she heard this, she thought about the plan of salvation that we had taught her and the temple work and she felt that all of it was true. She told us she had received the answer she was asking for and now she is really excited to enter the temple and be baptized and everything was just so perfect that happened.

In that moment I felt the spirit so strong and I just could feel that this whole plan that God has for us is all true and we have a special purpose here and an important work to do here as well.

Well I am so happy to be here and I hope you are all well. I love and pray for you.
SORRY! I forgot my camera cord. Somehow it didnt make it into my bag but next week pictures for sure!

Love ya!
